I have a stone in my kidney a.k.a. a kidney stone...

The doctor tells me that it's just a little bit larger than a grain of rice. This photo demonstrates the size it feels like from my point of view.

Uh, OW!!!
Sorry to hear that Fred... You know it's like that with your eyes as well... You get an eyelash or dust particle on your eyeball, and people around you think your havin' a seizure... It feels as though you're undergoin' some sort of agonizin' torture no one else can see... It's not like you can just reach in and pull it out, right ??? Right... You have to gain some kind of composure, in order to pull what feels like a Harpoon out of your occular cavity... By the time you get that baby out, you have streams of tears runnin' down your face, leavin' teardrop stains on your shirt, lookin' you drooled...
Oh wait, the stone has to be passed through the Ol' Schvantz right ??? Oh nevermind...

Thanks for the kind words, Tony. I think the secret to dealing with a situation like this is to admit that I'm a great big baby. I can't tolerate pain, nor do I care to try. I'm frail and I bruise like a ripe peach. Gimme the good drugs and leave me alone to watch all the DVDs I haven't been able to watch yet.

And the only thing worse than getting dust in your eye is getting dust caught between your contact lens and your eye. It's like a red-hot buzz saw trying to rip your eye open.

Ah, pain. It makes the day last so much longer.
