Regular visitors know that I love a great movie poster.
Movie posters in the U.S. these days are typically a close up of the major star(s), often holding a gun, with a shower of sparks cascading down on them, and that's about it. Part of the reason I got hooked on foreign posters for American movies is that for the longest time the film distributors didn't get much of anything in the way of advanced photos and film clips. Without concise reference material to work off of, the artists had to fly by the seat of their pants and count on their imagination to get the job done. The results are all over the place, but some of the images are pure genius. Most people love a challenge, so I will not be listing the American title the film the movie was born with. If you can spot an actor or director's name, you have a good chance. Either way, good luck and enjoy!
