Hey Kids! Cigarette Collector Cards!
The New York Public Library has an amazing Digital Gallery full of important documents and images. It also has a swell collection of not-so important things, like a great collection of cigarette cards. These cards were inside each pack and covered a variety of topics. The fine folks at Paleo Future pointed the way to this set, This Age of Power and Wonder, put out by Max Cigarettes between 1935 and 1938. The next time you have a week or two to kill, head over to the gallery and look around.
